Air Asia’s NEW NORMAL Protocol

Here at 1 Piso Fare, We’ve already featured some of the safety protocols by Philippine Airlines and Cebu Pacific to combat the spread of disease once we are all allowed to go out and travel.

These procedures are now being called the ” NEW NORMAL” with social distancing, hand sanitation and wearing face masks will be observed more often.

As one of the top airliners in the region, Air Asia will also implement their NEW NORMAL rules once flights both for domestic and international destinations came back to normal. See the new rules below:

Air Asia requests their guests to wear facemasks during

• Entering the Airport
• Check in and Baggage Deposit
• Boarding
• During the flight
• Disembarkation
• Claiming of baggage

Air Asia also advises their passengers to arrive early. Before, it is normal to be at the check in counter 2 hours before the flight. But because we are now under the NEW NORMAL, airline companies such as Air Asia are urging their guests to check in at least 3 hours before their flights.

AIR ASIA PRE NEW NORMAL FLIGHT PROCEDURE

Aside from wearing facemask, each passenger will undergo thermal checks to see who are having fevers and require immediate care and medication.

Social distancing must be observed at all cost. Please observe floor markers at queuing areas such as Check In Counters and Boarding Gates.

Several areas will be supplied with Hand Sanitizers for everyone’s use.

If you want to avoid the line, you can check in via the Air Asia App or website.

Aside from passengers, Air Asia Crew and Pilots will undergo temperature screening before every flights. They will also be trained on the latest safety information and guidelines.

NEW NORMAL Practices Inside the Air Asia Aircraft

Passengers are requested to wear their facemasks at all times, even during the flight.

Cabin Crew will be given PPE’s such as gloves and masks.

Cabin Crew will also be wearing gloves while serving food.

Air Asia’s Cabin Crew or All Stars will be trained to assist passengers on medical emergencies and can properly identify and isolate sick passengers on board.

NEW NORMAL HAND CARRY Guidelines

Each passenger will only be allowed to carry with them a small luggage or laptop bag with them as their hand carry item inside the plane.

These luggage must NOT exceed these dimensions: Length: 40 cm, Height 30 cm, Width 10 cm

Ordering your Hot Meals Online

If you are fond of hot meals during your flight, it is best to PRE-BOOK YOUR MEALS ONLINE before your flights. This is because hot meals will not be available for sale during the flight and only pre-booked meals will be served.  Book your meals at least 24 hours before your flights.

Snacks such as chips, nuts and beverages will still be available during the flight.

Aircraft Cleaning and Disinfection

Air Asia will heighten their disinfection practices to prevent the sread of virus and other microorganisms such as the Covid 19 virues.

Every night stop, the aircraft will under go 2 hours of stict cleaning and disinfection process using cleaning agents approved by the Public Health Agency and the aircraft’s manufacturer.

The cabin will also be sprayed on by a disinfectant solution before each flight.

Each airplane will also be using HEPA AIR FILTERS. This type of air filters are usually used in hospitals to filter out viruses and other particles found in the air.
