This is great news for our currently employed Overseas Filipino Workers, land-based and sea-based.

The Department of Foreign Affairs allows returning OFWs and seafarers to process their passport renewal or replacement as a “walk-in” applicant in the DFA NCR Central (Robinson’s Galleria) branch.

Returning OFWs and seafarer walk-in passport allowed

Per DFA Advisory:  Filipinos who are currently employed overseas (land-based OFWs and seafarers) do not need to secure an online appointment in order to process their passport application in this said branch.

For returning OFWs who needs to process passport renewal, please make sure to bring the following requirements:

OFW LAND-BASED

  • Philippine Passport
  • Proof of Overseas Employment or OEC
  • Valid Philippine Government Issued IDs

SEAFARERS

  • Philippine Passport
  • Valid Seaman’s Book
  • Valid Philippine Government Issued IDs

DFA NCR Central (Robinsons Galleria) is the dedicated OFW Passport Renewal Center. Processing of applications for all OFW walk-in applicants is from 8 AM to 12 NN. Queuing before 6 AM is unnecessary and is not advisable per the advisory.

Passport renewal OFWs returning to the same employer

DFA Robinsons Galleria is located right in front of the POEA building . Their telephone number is (02) 631 0806 or you can also contact hotline number (02) 631 0700.

If you come early with complete requirements to this DFA branch, you may be able to get your renewed passport on the same day!

However, you have to note that this new directive for walk-in is only for RETURNING OFWs who will go back to the same employer.

If in the future, kasama na ang lahat ng OFWs kahit hindi ‘returning’ sa walk-in accommodation, we will update this post as soon as possible.
