Last year, Japan has allowed multiple entry Visas for South East Asian countries last year. The Philippines was included in the list of countries whose citizens are allowed to have such type of Japan Visa.
Multiple-entry Japanese visas are usually given for persons who are traveling for commercial purposes, for specialists and government officials, and for those who have immediate Japanese family members.
Holders for multiple entry Visas are allowed to stay in Japan for 15 days. The Japanese Visa is valid for 3 years upon approval.
Visiting Japan can be easier with Visa Free Travels!!!
But getting a Japan Visa takes a very long time. The country is said to be one of the most strict in terms of giving away Visas for incoming tourists and foreigners. Applicants for a Visa for Japan needs to produce various records and legal documents before being allowed to enter the country.
But as of late, Japan is making its move to be more tourist friendly, especially to its Asian neighbors. This act is said to promote its tourism and attract tourist all over the world particularly those who are interested in the upcoming 2020 Tokyo Olympics.
There are still no formal announcements but news are coming up that Japan might waive the visa requirements for tourists from the Philippines, Indonesia and Vietnam.
The plan is said to take effect come June 2014.
This is good news for us Filipinos who want to see and tour Japan.
Now it would be much easier to enter Japan and see some of its attractions like the Cherry Blossoms and Mt Fuji.
It would also be easier for most of us to see our OFW relatives and friends who are working in the Land of the Rising Sun.
We will update this post once the announcement for Visa Free travel for Filipinos to Japan is made.

Me and my husband are both working in UAE. Can we apply our tourist visa in Japan in UAE but we will depart from Philippines? Can you please let me know if it is possible.

Hi Aimee, it is best to ask the Japanese Embassy in UAE about that.
