There are more and more instances of Philippine Airline promos since last year, think PALMazing Deals, Buy 2 Take 1 promo fare, Anniversary Promos, Mabuhay Miles The Great Miles Getaway Sale, and many, many more offers from PAL.
So today, it pays to know how to book and reserve PAL tickets via website. Who knows, you’ll find a really good deal for local and international flights soon.
Online booking knowledge is handy!
BOOK and BUY PHILIPPINE AIRLINE TICKETS
Passengers have several booking options when it comes to PAL:
- Book via Philippine Airlines ticketing offices and branches. See 1Pisofare list of PAL Branches and Office Locations nationwide.
- Book and reserve tickets by calling the hotline.
- Book via trusted travel and tour agency.
- Book tickets via online booking.
WHAT IS YOUR PREFERRED BOOKING METHOD?
Option 1, paying Philippine Airlines promo tickets via ticketing office is straight forward. Go to the branch, request for flight quote, confirm flight details, pay cash. The disadvantage is that you might be put in a long queue especially if the PAL branch you visited is loaded with clients.
If you ask the 1 Piso Fare Team, we prefer Option 4. Book and buy Philippine Airline tickets via online / website and then PAY CASH. It’s very convenient and even if you do not have a credit card or atm debit card, you can still book online and just use cash to pay.
Yes, passengers can pay cash for tickets booked online in philippineairlines.com. However, there is an extra step if it’s your first time doing so.
Passengers who wants to pay CASH in buying Philippine Airline tickets online MUST HAVE an existing account with PAL. The booking process will prompt you to enter your username and password to login to your account. If you do not have an existing account with PAL yet, you will be prompted to create one when you reach the payment page.

1PISOFARE TEAM OWN EXPERIENCE
This is the 1 Piso Fare experienced in trying to book Philippine Airlines promo tickets last year 2017.
What happened was that, we were “walk-in” guests to their website. We do not have an existing account with Philippine Airlines at that time, yet there was a good Philippine Airlines promo that we just didn’t want to pass up.
We compared the promo tickets available in PAL and those with Cebu Pacific and Air Asia for the same route and destination. PAL’s deal turn-out to be the best option (a bit more expensive but because there is a free check-in baggage and inflight snack that comes with the ticket, at the end of the day mas mura sa PAL).
PAL is a full-service airline but sometimes their offer is cheaper than what one can find in budget airlines like Cebpac and Air Asia Philippines. Try it on the next PAL promo. We will share on our Facebook page if there is a new Philippine Airlines promo 2018 to 2019.
You can also try it on next year’s Philippine Airlines 78th Anniversary Promo once it is launch, you will find out that PAL’s deals are awesome too! Tip: PAL usually have round trip international promo during their anniversary month, which is March.
To continue the story, we followed the booking process. We searched for promo flights, selected the departure time, followed the screen prompt until we got to the payment page where we faced a roadblock.
We could not choose the payment option cash right away since we didn’t have an existing account with PAL. But it was easy to create a new account with Philippine Airlines so we can proceed with the booking process.
Just like in the video, we clicked the prompt that says, “create a new account”.
The registration page to create an account with PAL pops-up. We filled it up with the correct details. Submit. After submission, the page went back to where we temporarily stopped the booking process. After reviewing the flight details for the last time and confirm that it is correct, we hit “continue”.
The next page was where we entered the passenger details. If you are booking for yourself, you can just choose your name from the option, or choose the second option if you are buying tickets for someone else. Then just follow the prompt until you get to the page where your reservations’ REFERENCE NUMBER will be displayed. Then pay the fare before deadline.
2018 PHILIPPINE AIRLINES ONLINE BOOKING GUIDE
Here is the PAL BOOKING GUIDE in written form. If you prefer, you can watch the 1Pisofare video guide again.
STEP 1. Check for flights in www.philippineairlines.com. If you find it is a Philippine Airlines promo flight, all the better so you can save.
STEP 2. Select the best flight schedule that fits your need.
STEP 3. Choose option Payment Center to pay cash. Login to your PAL account or create a new one by signing up (Step 3.1). Then click continue.
*If you will pay using credit card or atm debit card or Paypal, there is no need to create an account. You can proceed right away to the passenger detail page.
STEP 4. On the next page, input all passenger details then click Continue.
STEP 5. At the end of the booking process, you will get a unique 16 digits Philippine Airlines Reference Number. PAL recommends printing the page, but personally we’d say taking a screenshot of the reference number is enough.
STEP 6. Go to the Philippine Airlines partners payment center BEFORE 11:45 PM of the day you book. Pay the amount due for your reserved ticket. Show the teller or staff the Reference Number.
If you book 8 AM on May 8, you must pay for the reserved ticket before 11:45 PM of May 8.
If you book 10 PM on June 10, you must pay for the reserved ticket before 11:45 PM of June 10.
STEP 7. After paying, normally within 24 hours, you will get a copy of the confirmed eTicket itinerary via the email registered in your Philippine Airlines account.
STEP 8. If you are traveling within the Philippines, printing of the ticket is not necessary, so long as you can show a copy of your PAL ticket on your smart phone or tablet during check-in. But if you are flying international, you must print your eTicket because the immigration officer might ask you to show it.

STEP 9. Don’t forget to bring a valid ID when you go to the airport for your flight!
STEP 10. Leave your place early when you are catching a flight! Traffic is heavy especially in Manila and Cebu.
Important 1Pisofare Advise: Always check the fine details of the flight and fare type you are trying to book. In Philippine Airlines, there are fare types that gives you 100% miles credit, some 50% miles credit, others 25% miles credit. There are also instance when the offer is real cheap promo fare that there is no miles to be credited.
Mabuhay Miles registration is Free!
On the free check-in baggage, this varies too at times. Again, check the fine prints!
