Good news to all our student travelers…. starting August 1, 2019, ALL STUDENTS will not be charged with any Airport Terminal Fees here in the Philippines!!!
Preschool to college, vocational schools and training centers students are all now exempted to pay terminal fees at the airport.
Do you have tickets already booked in the past few months and paid for your terminal fee? No worries for you can ask for a refund at the airport.
But the not all airports will refund students of their airport terminal fees.
Only airports operated by CAAP or the Civil Aviation Authority of the Philippines will implement the NO TERMINAL FREE for Students.
Sadly, some of the most popular airports in the Philippines are not included in the list.
These airports will not be refunding or implement the NO TERMINAL FREE for Students:
- Ninoy Aquino International Airport (NAIA)
- Mactan-Cebu International Airport (MCIA)
- Clark International Airport (CRK)
- Caticlan AirportĀ in Boracay
But no worries, these is the list of airports that will implement the good news:
How to Refund Airport Terminal Fee of Students?
1.Head to the MALASAKIT Helpdesk located inside the airport
2.Fill up the Student Exception Certificate Form
3.Submit to the CAAP Representative the following:
- Certificate of Exemption
- Boarding Pass
- Ticket Itinerary Receipt
4.CAAP Representative will validate your documents
5.CAAP will give you the refund of your Terminal Fee
6.Student will sign the receipt of payment
Please bring an valid School ID or registration card of the student if you are about to ask for the refund.

Come at the airport early. If you are flying with a student and would want to ask for a refund, it is best to have more spare time for application can last for a few minutes!!!
