Cebu Pacific Air will strictly implement their 1 hand carry baggage policy starting September 1., 2021. Now, you can only bring with you 1 luggage, be it a hand bag, back back or a suit case provided that it won’t exceed 7 kilos and can fit well inside the over head bin of the aircraft.
Every passenger is allowed one (1) carry-on baggage inside the cabin, with a maximum weight of seven (7) kilograms and dimension of up to 56cm x 36cm x 23cm. This includes most wheeled cabin bags and backpacks.
The carry-on baggage must fit inside the overhead bin and must be stowed by yourself. This prevents other people to touch your belongings and to keep others safe especially their cabin crew.
In the coming months, Cebu Pacific Air will also charge amounts from 1,500 to 3,000 for baggage fees for their international flights.
Baggage used for medical equipment’s and for your infant’s needs will not be charged.
Items bought from the airport such as chocolates, clothes and other last minute pasalubong will not be charged by the airline. All you need to show upon boarding is the official receipt of the store you’ve purchased the items.
This new 1 Hand Carry policy was made so that unnecessary flight delays can be avoided, Cebu Pacific claims.
If you have extra baggage, best to avail the check in baggage allowance service for it is way cheaper than paying for the penalty. Starting September 1, passengers will be charged with a gate baggage fee of P1,000 per person for domestic flights for the extra hand carry baggage.
