Many Filipinos are waiting for the Office of the President of the Philippines MALACANANG to announce the official declaration of the 2015 Eid’l Fit’r or Feast of Ramadan. Finally, today July 9 Macalanang has released the official date for the national holiday for Ramadan 2015, see the copy of Proclamation 1070 below:
RAMADAN 2015 HOLIDAY
July 17,2015 is declared as the national holiday to celebrate the Feast of Ramadan. Our government enjoins us all to celebrate with our Muslim brothers and sisters in peace and harmony in the celebration of Eid’l Fit’r.
This means that July 17 is a non-working regular holiday. All those who will be called on to render work for this day will enjoy the regular holiday pay.
With the official declaration we now have an additional long weekend for 2015 for the dates July 17 (Friday), 18 (Saturday), and 19 (Sunday).
Upcoming Long Weekends
July 17 to 19 – 3 days Friday to Sunday for EID’L FIT’R (Regular Holiday)
August 21 to 23 – 3 days Friday to Sunday for Ninoy Aquino Day (Special Holiday)
August 29 to 31 – 3 days Saturday to Monday for National Heroes Day (Regular holiday)
November 28 t0 30 – 3 days Saturday to Monday for Bonifacio Day (Regular holiday)
December 24 to 27 – 4 days Thursday to Sunday for Christmas Holiday. *December 24 is Additional Special non-working day while December 25 is Regular Holiday.
