Cebu Pacific Air has already included the Terminal Fee for flights from Manila, Cebu and Caticlan since 2013.
Now, the budget airline company will also incorporate the Terminal Fee from all domestic airports managed by CAAP.
The integration of the DPSC into CEB fares was made possible through the implementation by CAAP of Memorandum Circular 02-17 last September 1, 2017. Under the new directive, the DPSC would be paid to Cebu Pacific then remitted to CAAP.
Yes, only Cebu Pacific will collect the Terminal Fees, then remit the money to CAAP or the Civil Aviation Authority of the Philippines.
Terminal Fee varies from airport to airport. It ranges from 50 Pesos up to 300 Pesos. NAIA Terminal Fee is 200 Pesos, while the Mactan International Airport in Cebu charges 300 Pesos.
This move will surely make a more comfortable experience for passengers, for they no longer need to fall in line at various domestic airports to pay for these fees. Now, they only need to pass the security check and fall inline at the Cebu Pacific Check in Counter.
Then there is also an OPTION, where you can also pay the Philippine Travel Tax when you book your tickets. The Philippine Travel Tax is charged for passengers going abroad. It costs 1,620 Pesos per passenger. When you opt to avail this service, Cebu Pacific will charge 80 Pesos more for handling fees. If you do not want to pay it immediately, you may settle this tax at the airport at the day of your flight.
The inclusion of the Terminal Fee is already implemented. So when ever your book via the tradition way of purchasing tickets at the ticketing office or travel agency or via online booking at www.cebupacificair.com, the system will automaticaly add the terminal fee to the cost of your ticket.
Just to be clear, the price of your tickets will already include the Base Fare, Cebu Pacific Web Admin Fee, 12% VAT, Tax plus TERMINAL FEE. Philippine Travel Tax is optional.
