Were you able to book during the Cebu Pacific Piso Fare 2017? Are you excited to book piso fare 2018 tickets? We are too! Unfortunately, no seat sale with P1 base fare yet. While we wait, we suggest that you read this travel tips.

What if you want to cancel and refund your promo fare ticket because it turns on your future travel date, you can’t fly, can you request refund?  How about rebooking? Or rerouting or name changing?

Cebu Pacific Refund Rebook Promo Tickets

Unfortunately, the tickets you bought from Cebu Pacific during a “promo fare” can’t be refunded. If you paid via Paypal, you can clearly see this indicated on the payment receipt. See this sample receipt from Cebu Pacific Air.

If you bought via offline payment option, or via ATM, or credit card, you can call CSR hotline of Cebupac, for confirmation on the fare rules.

Promo Fare tickets are usually of the Booking Classes T, Z, and O.

Check your copy of your ticket to know what booking class your ticket belongs too.


Cebu Pacific Rules on Promo Fare Tickets

Piso Fare 2017 to Piso Fare 2018 can’t be refunded but can be rebooked to a different travel date subject to fees and rebooking penalty. The same rules apply to tickets book during any of the “promo fare” launches of Cebu Pacific.

These types of ticket can’t also be rerouted, and no name change allowed. Meaning you can’t change the name on your promo ticket to that of your friend or family member.

REBOOKING is allowed but there are corresponding fees.  This post is updated today August 18, 2017 because Cebu Pacific release a statement informing the riding public that as of August 1, 2017, rebooking penalties and fees ARE WAIVED if and only if the flight changes is made within 24 hours of the original booking time.

The rebooking penalty still applies if you requested for flight changes AFTER 24 hours of getting ticket confirmation.

If the ticket you are currently holding is for domestic flights, rebooking fee of Php 1,500.

If it’s for International Short-haul flights like Manila to Hong Kong, Manila to Singapore, etc., Php 2,300 is the Cebu Pacific rebooking fee.

If it’s for International Long-haul flights like Manila to Sydney, Manila to Doha, Manila to Dubai, etc., the rebooking penalty fee is Php 2,800.

PLUS you need to pay the fare difference between your old ticket and the new ticket.

*Limitation: you can’t rebook to another sale ticket; you must pay the regular fare for rebooking to proceed.

*Promo fares are also not eligible to be stored in a Travel Fund.

1PISOFARE RECOMMENDATION

This is what we recommend to our 1PISOFARE friends. Example: you booked during this March 8 to 10 piso fare promo and you got a P701.00 Manila to Hong Kong (EXHIBIT A) flight for January 14, 2018.

Piso Fare 2017 to Hong Kong

Come December 2017 you found out that you must attend a family reunion on the same day of your Hong Kong flight and you can’t back out of the reunion. If you do, your parents and the whole clan won’t forgive your absence so you have no choice but you will NOT FLY, you will NOT USE your January 14, 2018 Manila to Hong Kong piso fare ticket from Cebu Pacific. Should you rebook TICKET A to a later travel date?

We recommend NO. We recommend you wait for another piso fare to Hong Kong flight availability and book a new one, a fresh one. Forget about the original ticket you book, let it end-up as a “NO SHOW”. Wait for 2018 piso fare promos if you can.

Why? Because chances are Cebu Pacific will have another low fare seat sale, and the possibility of securing another cheap flight to Hong Kong is very high. This is due to the fact that Cebupac regularly holds seat sale all throughout the year, and especially when there are upcoming national holidays. Cebu Pacific launched piso fare last February 2017 and then again June 2017 P1 tickets base fare. There could be more upcoming seat sale that is as good as piso fares.


If you will choose to rebook your promo fare ticket, you will pay this (sample computation only*):

*Assuming the regular fare is Php 3000 Manila to Hong Kong for January 14, 2018 (the new flight date you want).

Add: Rebooking penalty of international short haul flight – P2,300

Add: Fare difference (P3000 less P701) = P2,299

Total rebooking charges that you must pay is P4,599* for the new flight date

Whereas if you wait for a new promo and book on perfect timing as we suggested, you might pay a lot less than the projected Php 4,000 ++ for a rebooked Manila to HK flight for the same January 2018 date.

Now, to be 100% sure, it is best to double check by calling the official hotline of Cebu Pacific Air and talk to one of their helpful support staff. You can give them your booking reference number and they can then compute the total rebooking fee that you need to pay based on your actual confirmed ticket. The CSRs can also address any other flight concerns you may have.

  25. Hi, we booked a promo fare to Dubai. Originally a 5 day trip, but now we’re thinking of extending our trip to 10 days para masulit yung 14 day visa.   26. 10am flight ng husband ko today kahapon lng namin na pansin na my mes na pala ang cebu pac.buti nlng nag sabi kumpare namin na kasabay din nung flight nmin na nag change sched kung hindi pa kmi nag online at nakita nag change pla ung flight to 5pm punta sana kmi airport ng 10.change sana namin earlier than 10am.tapos wla na sila ibang option para sa passenger kac kini question pa nila ang connecting flight ng husband ko na 1:20pm.problema na namin un kung magka prob sa next flight.pero ang point na need namin ung 10am flight wla kmi magawa.wla din sila binigay other option.

  30. Hi. I bought a promo fare last July 2017 for Feb 2018 flight to Japan. The time of our flight was changed from the original ticket I bought. Do I have the right to cancel the ticket and get a full refund?
