CAAP or the Civil Aviation Authority of the Philippines has a new guidelines on how to carry, what to carry and how to use power banks during your flights.
This is relation to safety precautions brought about previous incidents that power banks overheating and catching fire while in a carry on bag.
Now, all power banks should be prohibited on check in baggage because of the risk of overheating and causing fires. But passengers can still carry power banks with them in their hand carry baggage but with some restrictions.

•Power banks up to 100Wh (watt-hours) may be brought onboard without prior approval.
• Power banks between 100Wh and 160Wh require airline approval before being carried onboard.
•Power banks exceeding 160Wh are strictly prohibited on flights.
160 Wh is equivalent to 43,243.24mAh
But it is advisable to contact your airline company about their new rules about hand carry power banks for some does not allow charging while inside the plane, while some only allow power banks if they are not stowed in the overhead cabin and should be held by the passenger during the flight!!!
